SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: COCA-COLA

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, would like to thank Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country for their loyal corporate partnership over the last ten years of Rush hockey. Recently, Coca-Cola has renewed their partnership with the Rush organization through a new multi-year agreement.

“On behalf of the Rush organization, ownership, and players, I'd like to thank Coca-Cola for their loyalty, partnership, and friendship over the last 10 years," said Rush Assistant GM Brandon Schumacher. “Coca-Cola has been vital to the success of our organization since our partnership began at the start of our team's history. They take such great care of our players both at home and on the road, replenishing the players by providing them with all the essential beverages including POWERade and Dasani water. The Rush and Coca-Cola partnership in our community endeavors, especially the preseason specialty jerseys that help raise money for the Rushmore Hockey Association, has been paramount in promoting and building the sport of hockey throughout the Black Hills. The Rush wants to thank Coca-Cola for their loyal partnership and the continued support of the Rush for future years.”

Coca-Cola is one of the few corporate partners that has been a partner since the very beginning of Rush hockey. Among the many aspects of their partnership, Coca-Cola has dasher board advertisements, various signage on the ice and throughout the arena, and is the namesake of the “POWERade Power Play” anytime the Rush are on a man-advantage during a home game. Additionally, Coca-Cola provides the team with Coke products, including POWERade for all games and road trips, and every year Coca-Cola serves as the jersey sponsor for the Rush’s preseason jerseys that pay homage to our local Rushmore Thunder hockey program, and all of the money from the jersey auctions goes back to the Rushmore Thunder. Over the last decade of Rush hockey, Coca-Cola has also maintained a strong presence in our community of Rapid City, and has assisted the Rush in countless initiatives to give back to the Black Hills.

“Coca-Cola High Country has been in our community of the Black Hills for almost 60 years now. We’ve been locally owned and operated here, and even as our company has grown, our headquarters are still here in the Black Hills. We consider this our home community and really value our partnership,” said Brent Lyons of Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country. “To have the Rapid City Rush in town has been great to bring to this community. It was definitely something right from day one that we knew we wanted to be able to partner with the Rush and bring everything that is the Rush to this community. Our partnership has been outstanding. The community has responded well to everything the Rush provides. The experience that the general public gets from the Rush is second to none.” When asked about ten years of partnership, Lyons added “It means the Rush have staying power. Everyone knows Coca-Cola has been around almost 100 years or more, so to be able to partner with something that’s been around for 10 years, we identified that the team would be from day one, and we’re looking forward to the next 10 years.”

On behalf of the Rush organization, we’d like to thank Coca-Cola for their friendship and partnership, and look forward to our 10th anniversary season together!
