RUSH DROP ANOTHER SHOOTOUT

(Broomfield, CO) – The Rapid City Rush were able to battle back after another tough 2nd period and force the Rocky Mountain Rage into extra time.  The game ended up going to a shootout, and for the fourth time in as many tries, the Rush fell short in the shootout frame.

RAPID CITY TOPS DEFENDING CHAMPS TO REMAIN SECOND IN DIVISION

RUSH TEAMS UP WITH RHA & NHLPA FOR LOCAL HOCKEY CLINIC

The Rapid City Rush and the Rushmore Hockey Association (RHA) have teamed up to host a hockey clinic for members of Youth & Family Services’ Girls Incorporated and Boys Health programs.  The clinic will take place Monday, November 10th from 1:30pm – 3pm at the Rushmore Thunderdome.

RUSH FALL TO EAGLES

(Loveland, CO) – The Rapid City Rush looked to get their first back-to-back wins of the season, but instead fell to division rival, the Colorado Eagles by a score of 3-1.  With the win, Colorado extends their lead on the Northwest Division to 10 points over the second place Rush.

AMARILLO SPOILS THE RETURN OF COACH FERRAS

Amarillo, TX) – The Rapid City Rush were dealt a 6-3 loss by the Amarillo Gorillas as the Rush now fall back to .500 on the season (2-2-4).  The game marked the return of former Amarillo Head Coach and current Rapid City Head Coach Joe Ferras, as well as former Gorillas and current Rush players Mark DeSantis, Chris Lipsett and Rich Hansen.

RAPID CITY’S RICH HANSEN NAMED PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The Rapid City Rush have picked up their second Central Hockey League (CHL) award in only the first month of the expansion teams’ existence.  The league’s leading scorer, Rich Hansen, has been named Sher-Wood Player of the Month by the CHL for his performance in the month of October.

(Wichita, KS) – The Rapid City Rush were able to take two big points from Northwest Division foe, the Wichita Thunder and maintain their second place slot.  Leading the way for Rapid City were Les Reaney and reigning player of the week, Chris Lipsett, each with three points in the game.

RAPID CITY FALLS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN REGULATION

The Rapid City Rush came into the hockey game unbeaten in regulation but left Oklahoma City with a 4-3 loss to the Oklahoma City Blazers.  The game was a special teams battle as there were a combined 113 penalty minutes and five power-play goals scored.
