THIRD PERIOD FLURRY POWERS EAGLES OVER RUSH 7-4

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush took on the Colorado Eagles for the first time this season, looking for their first win at the Budweiser Events Center.  The Rush held the lead going into the final 20 minutes, and although outshot, the Eagles found the back of the net three times in five minutes to win 7-4.

RUSH COME UP SHORT AGAINST OILERS IN FIRST ROAD CONTEST

RUSH BACK TO WINNING WAYS WITH COMEBACK, OVERTIME WIN

(Rapid City, SD) – Tonight, the Rapid City Rush looked to get back in the win column and avoid a sweep at the hands of the Arizona Sundogs.  Arizona dominated the first two periods, getting out to a 2-0 lead, but the Rush used three third period goals to send the game into overtime.  In extra time, Scott Wray was the hero as he netted the game winner to lift the Rush to a 4-3 win.  Rush rookie netminder, Danny Battochio, made 40 saves for his first professional win.

RUSH ON LOSING END OF BACK AND FORTH BATTLE

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush were dealt their first loss of the season on Friday night at the hands of the Arizona Sundogs who scored their first victory of the 2009-10 campaign.  The Sundogs were powered by 3 goals in a franchise-best 56 seconds in the second period.

RAPID CITY STARTS 2009-10 CAMPAIGN WITH 3-2 WIN

RUSH SEASON STARTS TONIGHT!!!

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush officially kick-off their 2009-10 campaign this evening when they take on the expansion Missouri Mavericks.  Tickets for tonight’s contest and festivities are still available, starting at only $15.  This evening’s game will take place at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center with the drop of the puck scheduled for 7:05pm.  The first 5,000 fans will receive a 2009-10 Rush magnetic schedule courtesy of Chad Zandstra Construction, LLC.

RUSH ANNOUNCE FINAL ROSTER FOR 2009-10

(Rapid City, SD) – Late Thursday, the Rapid City Rush announced the final roster for the 2009-10 season.  After a competitive week of training camp and two impressive preseason games against Amarillo, Rush Head Coach Joe Ferras and Assistant Coach Mark DeSantis have met the league requirement and trimmed the roster to 19 active players.  The Rush kick-off their 2009-10 campaig on Friday, October 16th, against the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05pm.

CHL's Opening Night Set for Friday: Seven Games on Tap for Opening of CHL's 18th Season

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) will begin its 18th season on Friday, October 16th with seven games on the schedule including a Ray Miron President’s Cup Finals re-match between the defending champion Texas Brahmas and the Colorado Eagles.  The Brahmas won the Cup last May four games to one over the Eagles.
