RUSH SENDS FOUR PLAYERS TO AHL CAMPS

The Rapid City Rush is pleased to announce that four of its players have been invited to try out for American Hockey League (AHL) teams.  Rapid City Rush players Luke Fritshaw, R.G. Flath and Miguel Beaudry will the attend Iowa Chops camp and Jamie VanderVeeken will head to the Worcester Sharks camp.

RUSH SIGNS NHL DRAFT PICK TO HELP SOLIDIFY DEFENSE

The Rapid City Rush today announced the signing of defenseman Luke Fritshaw for the 2008-2009 season.  By signing with the Rush, Fritshaw will be making his Central Hockey League (CHL) debut this season after spending last year in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

CHL Announces Pre-Season Schedule

16 Games Highlight Pre-Season

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Tuesday its 16-game pre-season schedule that begins on Wednesday, October 8th and concludes on Saturday, October 11th.    All 16 CHL member teams will compete in a minimum of one pre-season game.  Training camps for CHL teams begin on Monday, October 6th.

Jim Wiley Named CHL Director of Hockey Operations

Former NHL Player and Coach Joins CHL Staff

Central Hockey League (CHL) Commissioner Duane Lewis announced today that Jim Wiley has been named the CHL’s Director of Hockey Operations.  The veteran of more than 25 years in professional hockey in various capacities will join the CHL front office staff on Monday, September 8th.

RUSH INKS TWO CHL VETS: Forward Lance Herauf and Defenseman John Neal

Herauf, a 5’9’’ 167-pound winger from Balgonie, Saskatchewan, comes to the Rush after spending last season with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.  Herauf’s CHL experience includes time with the Tulsa Oilers and the New Mexico Scorpions.
