INAUGURAL RUSH CAMP COMES TO A CLOSE

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush concluded their inaugural Youth Hockey Camp at the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena today. Over 60 campers took part in a final day that included a skills competition and intra-squad game.

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush are proud to announce the return of Rush rookie scoring leader, Jon Pelle. Pelle played in 50 games for Rapid City last season after joining the Rush on November 29th, the team’s home opener.

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush youth hockey camp is officially under way at the Rapid City’s Roosevelt Park Ice Arena. Over 60 participants walked through the doors to start the inaugural five-day camp that featured instruction from the Rush coaching staff and players.

EQUIPMENT MANAGER SHAWN SMITH MOVING UP TO AHL

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced today that inaugural season equipment manager Shawn “Stixy” Smith has made his way to the American Hockey League (AHL). Smith will be a part of another inaugural season as he has agreed to join the expansion Abbotsford Heat, located in British Columbia.

RUSH SIGN NHL DRAFT PICK, FORMER RAGE FORWARD COLT KING

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush are proud to announce the signing of former Rocky Mountain Rage power forward Colt King. The acquisition marks the first off-season signing outside of returning Rush players. King was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round, 130th overall, of the 2001 NHL entry draft.

CENTER MITCH STEPHENS SIGNS IN GERMANY

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced today that center Mitch Stephens has signed with the Rosenheim Starbulls of the German Oberliga. Stephens was acquired by the Rush back on February 8th in a trade with the Laredo Bucks.

RUSH TO PLAY CANYON LAKE LITTLE LEAGUERS IN CHARITY WIFFLE BALL GAME

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush will take part in “Fun on the Field” for Coach John Thomas, a charity event for the little league coach who has been diagnosed with colon cancer. The Rush will be playing a wiffle ball game against Canyon Lake Little League on Saturday, June 27th at 7pm.
