RAPID CITY RUSH RAISE ANOTHER $20,000 WITH JERSEY AUCTION

(Rapid City, SD) – On Saturday night, the Rapid City Rush donned their warm-up jerseys sponsored by Riddle’s Jewelry for their contest against the Colorado Eagles. It was the final game of the season, and after the contest, the Rush auctioned off the specialty jerseys. The Rush was able to raise over $20,000 to benefit Youth & Family Services as well as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of South Dakota.

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush wrapped up their regular season against the Colorado Eagles at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday, March 21, 2009, where the Rush hosted “Fan Appreciation Night”. The Rush were coming off an exciting 6-4 victory over the Eagles from the night before but unfortunately, the Rush wouldn’t be able to make it a sweep as they fell to the Eagles, 6-2.

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush hosted division rival Colorado in a doubleheader at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in the final weekend of regular season play. On Friday night, the Rush were coming off a 6-3 win against Wichita. The game marked the 1,000th regular season game for Rush Captain Mark DeSantis as Rapid City would continue their momentum with a huge 6-4 win over the Eagles.

(Wichita, KS) – On Wednesday night, the Rapid City Rush played the final road game of their inaugural season as they faced the Wichita Thunder in the Kansas Coliseum. Rapid City would collect its 21st win of the season with the help of five special teams goals, including a league-high three shorthanded tallies.

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush will be playing a street hockey game against the winner and friends of the Coca-Cola Coolest Kid on the Block promotion. The match up will take place in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center parking lot on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.

(Rapid City, SD) – Shawn Smith has over a decade of experience as an equipment manager, including five years in the CHL. The Fort Erie, Ontario native began his career as an equipment assistant with the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Smith made his way to the CHL in 2002 with the Amarillo Gorillas where he linked with former Gorilla, and current Rush Head Coach, Joe Ferras. Smith spent four seasons with Amarillo before he followed Ferras to Rapid City and the expansion Rush.

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush celebrated St. Patrick’s Day as they hosted the Oklahoma City Blazers at the festive Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The Rush were coming off an exciting 3-2 win against the Tulsa Oilers but were handed a 3-2 shootout loss by the Blazers.

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush hosted the Tulsa Oilers on Friday the 13th at what was 70’s Night at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The contest was going to determine who won the season series as each team had two victories against each other. It looked as though the two teams with the most overtime losses were headed to extra time until Matt Zultek scored the game winner with under a minute left.

(Rio Rancho, NM) – The Rapid City Rush came into the Santa Ana Star Center having swept the Amarillo Gorillas, and looking for their first win in New Mexico. After two periods, it was anyone’s contest, but three third period goals lifted the Scorpions to the 5-1 win.
