Tim Hill

Tim Hill is no stranger to the ins and outs of hockey. He joined the expansion Rush in 2007 after completing a successful run as the Assistant General Manager for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. Hill’s career in hockey began on the ice where he spent four years as a professional hockey player before taking his knowledge and experiences from the ice into the front office.
Hill received a Business Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Tim is married to wife Stephanie, and the two of them along with their three daughters, Kylie, Mackenzie, and Ashlyn, reside in Sturgis.
John Hess

John Hess was born and raised in Fort Collins, CO. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Marketing, Hess worked as a public relations intern for the 2008 World Series of Poker. Hess joined the Rush in 2008 as an account executive and was soon after named the team’s Director of Game Operations. After the championship season Hess accepted an offer with the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes to work as the team’s Event Presentation Manager for the 2010-2011 season. After an exciting year in the NHL, Hess decided to return to the Rush to put his experience to use entertaining the fans and promoting the team as its new Senior Director of Marketing and Entertainment.
When he is not making penalty box spoofs, Hess spends as much time as possible with his boxer-lab mix puppy, Zoey. He also enjoys exploring the Black Hills and playing hockey at Roosevelt Park Ice Arena.
Denny Majeske

A Rapid City native, Denny Majeske is a 2003 Central High School graduate. Majeske attended the University of Wyoming earning a degree in Marketing and graduated with honors in 2007. While attending UW, Majeske served two years as a marketing and promotions intern with the Cowboys athletic department assisting with game operations and community events.
Majeske got his start with the Rush as an intern prior to the team’s inaugural season in 2008 before being promoted to the front office staff a short time later.
Outside of the hockey office, Majeske is an avid mountain biker, snowboarder, and distance runner competing in numerous half marathons and trail races.
Brandon Schumacher

Brandon Schumacher was born in Colorado Springs, CO but spent his childhood years in Edgemont, SD. After graduating from Edgemont High School, Schumacher attended Black Hills State University. He moved to Rapid City in October 2008 and started as intern for the Rush in November. In January 2009, Schumacher was hired as an Account Executive for the team. When he’s not organizing intermission events, Brandon enjoys participating in sports especially golf and snowboarding as well as spending time with his wife BreAnna and son Kyron.
Daniel Nieves
Media Relations Director/BroadcasterDaniel Nieves has been the “voice” of the Rapid City Rush and has covered every game since the team’s inception in 2008, including a successful championship run in 2010 and the 2011 CHL All-Star Game. For his efforts, Nieves was named ‘CHL Employee of the Month’ for the month of January 2011. The Miami, FL native is also a board member of the RUSH Foundation and continues to serve the community through numerous other avenues. Along with his media and play-by-play duties, Nieves also hosts ‘The Rush Hour with Head Coach Joe Ferras’ every week at Boston’s Restaurant.
Before joining the Rush, Nieves handled the play-by-play duties for the Bowling Green State University Falcons of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and prior to that spent four seasons as color-commentator for the Falcons. During his time as color-commentator, Nieves was named “Hockey Broadcaster of the Year” by the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization for three consecutive years. Along with his play-by-play duties, Nieves also hosted a weekly radio call-in show “In The Box” that covered Falcon hockey, CCHA and NHL. The show featured players and coaches in studio each week, and in only its second year, “In The Box” was named “Show of the Year” by BGRSO.
Nieves is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a major in Telecommunications.
